The move extends the firm's Asia-Pacific expansion, following recent additions of Korean derivatives and access to Taiwan's Taipei Exchange.

The rollout gives eligible clients access to Korea's equity market, valued at over $4 trillion and ranking among the top ten globally. It includes major companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Hyundai Motor. Interactive Brokers stated clients can trade with same-day account enablement, real-time execution, and institutional-style pricing, integrated into its multi-asset platform.

David Friedland, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Interactive Brokers, said the launch helps clients broaden exposure to Asian equities. He described Korea as "one of Asia's most dynamic equity markets" and noted access allows clients to "more comprehensively manage their Asian exposure," calling it a natural extension of the firm's global strategy. Korean equities will be traded through the same infrastructure used for other global markets on the platform.
