Interactive Brokers Launches Direct Crypto Portfolio Transfers

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers Group Inc (NASDAQ:IBKR) announced a new service enabling clients to transfer existing cryptocurrency holdings into their IBKR-linked accounts. This allows trading at lower costs and accessing global markets without needing to liquidate digital assets first.

The firm's platform now integrates digital assets with traditional investments like stocks, options, and bonds. Clients can move supported cryptocurrencies directly from external wallets without selling their positions.

Crypto investors should access competitive pricing and diversified opportunities without managing multiple accounts, said CEO Milan Galik. This transfer feature simplifies benefiting from IBKR's low-cost crypto trading within a unified professional environment.

Eligible clients of Interactive Brokers LLC and Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited can transfer Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, among others, into their accounts via partners Paxos or zerohash.
