Interactive Brokers Names Cecelia Zhong as Exec Director

Fazzaco learned that Interactive Brokers (IBKR), one of the biggest US-based brokerage firm, has named Cecelia Zhong as Executive Director. Based in Hong Kong, Cecelia will report to David Friedland, Managing Director-Asia Pacific Operations at IBKR.

As seen on her LinkedIn profile, Cecelia was most recently a Consultant at China Zhuhai Bluestone Asset Management. Prior to that, she served as Chief Executive Officer at Guojin Resources Limited. Additionally, she held positions with NYSE where she was responsible for setting up the Exchange's business hub in Hong Kong for Greater China, and HKEX where she led and coordinated sales and marketing activities for HKEX and LME. 

Cecelia is a graduate of Northeastern University (CN) with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and holds a MBA in Finance from Edinburgh Business School. She is a CFA charterholder.

​Fazzaco recently reported that IBKR has added model portfolios to enhance PortfolioAnalyst, a solution that consolidates, tracks and analyzes one's complete financial performance. Additionally, the broker has launched cryptocurrency trading​, which is made available via Paxos Trust.
