Interactive Brokers Records 1.934M DARTs for October 2023, Up 7.6% MoM

Interactive Brokers, a US-based automated global electronic broker, has released its Electronic Brokerage monthly performance metrics for October 2023, showing an increase of 7.6% in daily average revenue trades (DARTs) on a month-on-month basis.
Trading Overview for October 2023:
DARTs registered 1.934 million for the month, 1.6% lower than 1.965 million in October 2022 and 7.6% higher than 1.798 million in September 2023.
Ending client equity came in at $367.2 billion, up 23.8% compared to $296.7 billion in the same period of 2022 and down 0.7% compared to $369.8 billion in the prior month.
Ending client margin loan balances rose by 6.6% from $39.5 billion to $42.1 billion on a year-on-year basis, but decreasing by 3.4% compared to $43.6 billion in September of this year.
Ending client credit balances stood at $96.7 billion for the period, including $3.5 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps, up 1.8% from $95.0 billion in last October but down 1.3% compared to $98.0 billion in the previous month.
Number of client accounts grew by 21.6% from 2.04 million in the year ago month to 2.48 million, a slight increase of 2.1% compared to 2.43 million in September 2023.
Average commission per cleared commissionable order was $3.16, including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees.
