Interactive Brokers Reports 14% MoM Increase in DARTs for Jan. 2023

Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firms, has released its Electronic Brokerage monthly performance metrics for January 2023, showing that the Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) stood at 1.988 million, 24% lower than prior year but 14% higher than prior month.
This was fueled by the rise in the number of client accounts in January, which came in at 2.13 million, up 23% on a yearly basis and 2% month-on-month.
The broker ended the month with $337.6 billion client equity, 4% lower than prior year but 10% higher than prior month. Client margin loan balances stood at $99.8 billion, including $2.4 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps,enjoying a yearly growth of 12% and a monthly rise of 5%.
Previously, Fazzaco reported that Interactive Brokers revealed an increase in revenues and profits for the fourth quarter of 2022, ending on December 31, 2022, compared to a year earlier.
