Interactive Brokers Sees 13% Yearly Dip in September DARTs

Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firm, has released its monthly brokerage statistics for September 2022, reporting a yearly slow down in daily average revenue trades (DARTs).
The total client DARTs for the month on the brokerage platform came to be 1.961 million, which is a decline of 13 percent when compared to the previous year. But, the figures were about even with prior month.
In September, Interactive Brokers's ending client equity reached $287.1 billion, which is 19 percent lower than prior year and 7 percent lower than prior month. Furthermore, the company's ending client margin loan balances hit $94.7 billion in September, which is 10 percent higher than 2021 and 1 percent lower than August.
When it comes to clients, the US brokerage reported that the total number of client accounts on the platform was 2.01 million, which is 37 percent higher than last year's number and 1 percent higher than last month.
