Interactive Brokers Sees 15% Yearly Decline in DARTs for Feb. 2023

Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firms, has released its Electronic Brokerage monthly performance metrics for February 2023, recording the Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) of 2.1214 million, down 15% on a YoY basis and up 7% on a MoM basis.
The broker ended the month with $331.6 billion client equity, 5% lower than prior year and 2% lower than prior month. Ending client margin loan balances stood at $39.1 billion, down 21% on a YoY basis and down 1% on a MoM basis.
Ending client credit balances amounted to $97.9 billion for the month, including $2.5 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps, enjoying a yearly growth of 10% and a monthly decline of 2%.
2.16 million client accounts were recorded in the month, up 22% on a yearly basis and down 2% on a monthly basis.
Interactive Brokers is aggressively expanding its reach. Earlier this month, the US-based automated global electronic broker has been selected by Sinopac Securities, a major integrated securities firm in Taiwan, as the latter's primary international broker, following it launching crypto trading services in Hong Kong.
