Interactive Brokers Sees 30% Y/Y Decline in DARTs in November 2022

Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firm, recently posted its trading volumes for the month of November, indicating a drop in DARTs on a YoY basis.
More specifically, the broker registered a DARTs of 1.952 million, 30 pecent lower than the previous year and 1 percent lower than the previous month. In November, Interactive Brokers's ending client equity reached $317.3 billion, down by 15 percent compared with last year and 7 percent higher than the last month. Ending client credit balances came in at $96.0 billion, up by 10 percent on a YoY basis and 1 percent on a MoM basis.
Moreover, the broker's ending client margin loan balances hit $39.2 billion, showing a 28 percent decrease compared to the prior year and a 1 percent increase with prior month.
In terms of client accounts, the US brokerage reported that the total number of traders on the platform was 2.07 million, up by 26 percent than the same period last year, and 1 percent than the last month.

All clients with US Stock trading permission will have access to Overnight Trading on IBEOS, and can leverage multiple order types and free overnight market data. In addition, the latest introduction will bring benefits to the broker's Asian clients seeking access to US Equity Markets during their trading day.
