Interactive Brokers Sees 4% Monthly Increase in September DARTs

Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firm, has released its monthly brokerage statistics for September 2021, reporting a monthly and yearly surge in daily average revenue trades(DARTS).

According to the report, the total client DARTs for the month on the brokerage platform came to be 2.260 million, which is 4 percent higher when compared to the previous month, and 16 percent higher than the same month in the previous year.

In September, Interactive Brokers’s ending client equity reached $353.8 billion, which is 52 percent higher than in the same period last year and 3 percent lower than the prior month.

Furthermore, the company’s ending client margin loan balances hit $50.2 billion in the month, which is 67 percent higher than 2020 and 1 percent higher than August.

When it comes to clients, the US brokerage reported that the total number of traders on the platform was 1.54 million, which is 57 percent higher than last year’s number and 3 percent higher than last month.

Last month, the broker registered a DARTs of 2.17 million, 8 percent lower than the previous month but 24 percent higher than the previous year. In August, the broker has solicited over 41,500 new traders, bringing the total number of traders on the platform to more than 1.49 million.
