Interactive Brokers UK Reports 43% YoY Jump in Pre-tax Profit in 2021

Interactive Brokers UK Ltd., a broker/dealer trading company in the UK, has reported financial results for the year of 2021, ending on 31 December, showing a yoy jump in profit.

More specifically, the broker registered a pre-tax profit of £22 million, up 43% compared to 2020's £15.3 million. Total capital came in at £153.6 million, 13% higher than the previous year's £134.9 million.
Additionally, the number of clients of the year stood at 29,375. This figure for 2020 was 53,895. The number of carried client accounts decreased by 45.5%. Net commissions reached £36,273 thousand, compared to £42,348 thousand in 2020.
