Fazzaco: Hi, thank you for accepting Fazzaco's interview. Would you please introduce yourself and Equiti Group first?
Equiti: Hi, I'm Mohammad Isbeer, Global Head of Brokerage Sales at Equiti. Equiti Group started out as the parent company of some of the most progressive FX and CFD brands and prime brokerage providers in the industry, and through a lot of hard work over the past three or four years, we've transitioned to became a world class multi-asset broker and online trading technology provider. Today, we have offices in six geographical regions and six licences, and we're currently working on more in various parts of the world.
Fazzaco: Why are you taking part in iFX EXPO 2021?
Equiti: We believe iFX Expo 2021 is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with our clients and industry players that we haven't seen in over a year due to the pandemic. It's fantastic to meet face-to-face again after months of Zoom calls and travel restrictions.

Fazzaco: What opportunities does an event like iFX EXPO 2021 offer you?
Equiti: This expo gives us an opportunity to spend time with our clients, understand their needs and challenges so we can work on innovative offerings that will give them the best service and support available in the industry; we are always looking at developing new ways of doing things better. Equiti's mission is to deliver highly tailored solutions, superior service, fast execution, best value prices, and to be at the forefront of innovation in the fintech sector.
Fazzaco: Equiti Capital announced partnership with Lucera and Acuity recently and expanded product offering with energy stocks. What are the plans behind these moves?
Equiti: Equiti Capital announced partnership with Lucera. Yes, Equiti Capital partnered with Lucera in recent months to expand the technology we use to distribute liquidity to clients. Lucera is an industry-leading FX aggregator known for its low latency execution and expansive connectivity to the FX market, obviously two very important considerations when looking to expand our offerings and global business.
This week we expect to make an announcement on another new-to-the-market offering. Recently we expanded our product offering to add "green" stocks, largely due to client demand but also as part of our commitment to ESG principles (environmental, social and good governance); plus it was a nice touch to announce it on Earth Day, 22 April. We are fortunate in that we have a very strong global Product and Risk team that is able to respond quickly to client and market demand, we also take direction on new products from our Trading team in London. In the past year, we’ve grown our product offering by more than 350%, and continually add new stocks and products on a weekly basis.
Our partnership announced with Acuity is a great value-add that enhances our clients trading experience by providing them with a tool that gives them access to a wealth of unique market insights and trading opportunities that only this powerful combination provides, such as intuitive visualisations to help cut through the noise, highlighting emerging market trends before market movement and AI data-driven signals to spot opportunities more easily. It uses Dow Jones' market coverage and news to support traders. For us, it's another step in our efforts to offer our clients more, more value, more support as we strive to be the best in the industry.
Fazzaco:You also offer white label service. In your opinion, would it be a good choice for a broker to become a white label provider?
Equiti: White labeling is definitely a good thing, it's about creating close partnerships. It gives brokers, not one, but many solutions to expand their business, particularly startup brokers. For me, white labelling is great for providing close support to brokers, supporting them with systems and processes, and giving them the experience to grow their business; when they do, we get a long term client and a partner, and their success story becomes part of ours.
Fazzaco: The crypto market is extremely volatile this year. How do you see the trend? What’s your point of view on the widespread cryptocurrency enthusiasm?
Equiti: The crypto markets have been defined by their volatility from the start. As an emerging asset class, the assets have seen 10-20% retracements as a regular monthly event. This is easily off-putting for most. However as the space continues to innovate and build more security into the blockchain networks, we have seen more institutional liquidity entering the space. This is a vote of confidence from some of the larger market players, and we expect more could follow suit. This volatility is suitable for traders who can withstand such strong price action. We view the widespread enthusiasm around this asset class is a direct result of the true innovation at play. Many crypto projects are proposing entirely new solutions to global financial services, and the true impact of this may take some more time to fully materialize.
