Invast Global Appoints BNY Mellon’s Charl de Vleeschauwer as Head Trading

Fazzaco learned that Invast Global, a multi-asset prime broker, has appointed Charl de Vleeschauwer as its Managing Director, Global Head of Electronic Trading and Execution.

Charl de Vleeschauwer has over 20 years in FX trading industry. He worked in several top financial institutions, including BNY Mellon, Citi and Deutsche Bank and was stationed across global financial hubs.

He most recently acted as APAC Head of Electronic Markets, FX and G10 Trading for the Australia unit of US banking firm BNY Mellon. He helped the bank to grow its FX offering and deliver on revenue and profit goals for the region.

Before joining BNY Mellon in 2019, he was the Director of Fixed Income and Commodities at Citi for a couple of years. In Citi, he navigated the Yen Liquidity Event of January 2019, with full responsibility for the firm’s entire FX exposure.

He has also worked at Macquarie, Deutsche Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, and KBC Bank & Verzekering.
