ISS Enters into Definitive Agreement to Acquire Discovery Data

Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS), a leading provider of corporate governance and responsible investment solutions, market intelligence, fund services, and events and editorial content for institutional investors and corporations, announced recently it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Discovery Data Holdings, Inc. (Discovery Data), the holding company which owns Discovery Data, Inc., a globally recognized and trusted provider of data and analytics to the financial services industry.

According to the official press release, the transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions.

Based in New Jersey, Discovery Data empowers asset and wealth management firms, insurance companies, financial technology companies, and service providers to understand their target markets and to identify, assess, and seize new opportunities. It will integrate with ISS’ Market Intelligence (ISS MI) business unit and continue to focus on the expansion of its product suite and client engagement.
