Japan's SBI Makes $15M Strategic Investment to Accelerate Alpaca's Asian Business

Alpaca, a crypto and stock investment platform, announced that it has formed a new strategic partnership with SBI Group, a pioneer of internet financial services in Japan. This partnership allows Alpaca to accelerate its expansion of businesses and extend its reach to enterprise financial institutions for the clearing and execution of US securities in Asia.

Under the new collaboration, SBI has provided a financial investment of $15 million to Alpaca. Furthermore, SBI and Alpaca have mutually agreed to dedicate themselves to promoting Alpaca's future growth through cooperative business development initiatives and the introduction of inventive products.

Alpaca remains committed to expanding its presence in the Asian market, facilitated by the recent acquisition of a broker-dealer license under the Japan FSA. The license allows Alpaca to offer brokerage infrastructure to enterprise financial institutions and startups, enabling them to provide US stock investment services to their end customers in Japan.
