Johannesburg Stock Exchange and DataBP Launch Innovative Cloud Marketplace

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) has announced a strategic collaboration with DataBP to introduce a pioneering cloud-based Marketplace aimed at transforming the exchange's data offerings. This digital Marketplace is set to become the central hub for all JSE data products and services.
The launch of this Marketplace marks a significant milestone in JSE's digital transformation efforts. According to Mark Randall, Director of Information Services at JSE, "Migrating data offerings to the cloud is a key part of JSE's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strategy. It not only reduces infrastructure costs but also increases flexibility." He added, "This offering marks the successful completion of the first phase of our market data modernisation strategy."
The new Marketplace, powered by DataBP's advanced platform, is designed to simplify client onboarding, streamline product development, and automate data access entitlements and billing processes. It will also feature third-party content and analytics services, thus enhancing the value and reach of the JSE's proprietary data.
Mark Schaedel, CEO of DataBP, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "JSE has developed a comprehensive cloud distribution platform with the intent of integrating all of its commercial information services under this cloud marketplace. We are proud to partner with clients who are combining content and cloud services to unlock value for their customers and drive product innovation."
