JPMorgan Appoints Former Bank of America Executive as New EMEA Vice Chairman

JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPMorgan), a leading financial services provider globally, announced that it has hired Bob Elfring, former Bank of America executive, as its new Vice Chairman of Investment Banking for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Elfring is Reportedly entrusted with the responsibility of bolstering the investment bank’s presence in the M&A market in EMEA. Particularly, he will focus on the Benelux region, working closely with Cassander Verwey, senior country officer for the Netherlands. Besides, he will report to Dorothee Blessing and Conor Hillery, co-heads for the EMEA region of the bank, according to an internal memo.

Before this appointment, Elfring has spent seven years at Bank of America, leading its corporate and investment bank in EMEA since 2012. Then in 2018, he stepped down from the bank. Also, he was in charge of the investment banking coverage in Northern Europe and Benelux for Credit Suisse.
Additionally, his leadership roles at multiple great firms include Amsterdamse Investeringsbank, Rabobank, and MeesPierson. He has developed deep market knowledge, wide-ranging corporate finance expertise and extensive relationships in the financial industry.
