JPMorgan Chase Sees 28% YoY Decrease in 2Q22 Net Income

JPMorgan Chase, an American multinational investment bank and financial services holding company, has released its financial result for the second quarter of 2022 recently, showing a 28% decrease in net income.

The net income of JPMorgan Chase dropped by 28% on a YoY basis, falling from $11.948 billion to $8.649 billion.
The net revenue was $31.6 billion, edged up 1% compared with $ 30.5 billion in 2Q2021.
Consumer & Community Banking (CCB)
The net income of CCB was $3.1 billion, decreased 45% from $5.65 billion on a YoY basis.
The net revenue of CCB was $12.6 billion, down 1% compared with 12.76 billion in 2Q2021.
The consumer & business banking net revenue rose 9% from 6.0 billion (2Q21) to $6.6 billion.
The home lending net revenue dropped from last second quarter's $1.35 billion to $1.0 billion, down 26%.
Card & Auto net revenue was $5.1 billion, down 6% compared with 2Q21's $5.4billion.
Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB)
The net income of CIB was decreased by 26% from $5.02 billion to $3.7 billion on a YoY basis, with net revenue of $11.9 billion, down 10% compared with 2Q21's $13.2 billion.
The banking revenue falling from $5.1 billion to $3.2 billion, decreased by 37%.
The net venue of markets and securities services rose 8% from $8.1 billion to $8.7 billion on a YoY basis.
Commercial Banking (CB)
The net income of CB was $1.0 billion, down 30% compared with $1.4 billion released in the prior year's report.
The net revenue was $2.7 billion, rising 8% from 2.5 billion in 2Q21.
Asset & Wealth Management (AWM)
The net income of AWM dropped from 1.16 billion to $1.0 billion, decreased by 13%.
The net revenue was $4.3 billion, up 5% compared with 4.1 billion YoY.
