JPX Posts MoM Decline Across Markets for November 2023

Cash Equity Market

• In November 2023, the ADTV for the Prime Market (domestic common stocks) was JPY 4.5562 trillion, increasing 8.3% compared to JPY 4.2079 trillion in October of this year.

• ADTV for the ETF market was JPY 250.3 billion, dropping by 5.3% from JPY 264.4 billion in the prior month.

Derivatives Market

• Total derivatives trading volume for the month decreased by 25.4% from 41,620,906 contracts to 31,051,393 contracts on a month-on-month basis.

• Total derivatives trading value was JPY 281 trillion, falling 7.9% compared to JPY 305 trillion in October.

• During the month, trading volume for the night session and the ratio of the night session were 11,151,913 contracts and 35.9%, sharply down compared to 17,633,219 contracts and 42.4% in the previous month.

• Total trading volume of the holiday trading on November 23 was 246,325 contracts.
