Kelvin Quezada to Join UBS as Managing Director in UGB Americas Team

Kelvin Quezada is set to join UBS as a managing director within the Unified Global Banking (UGB) Americas team. This move follows nearly two decades spent at Barclays.
Mr. Quezada will be based in New York. His addition is described as part of a broader effort by UBS aimed at strengthening its investment banking team by combining expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financial sponsor coverage.
Mr. Quezada spent the last 17 years of his career at Barclays. Most recently, he served as an M&A managing director. Prior to that role, he was a banker in the financial sponsor coverage group at the firm. He is noted for bringing expertise in exclusive sales, which are described as tailored transactions where a potential buyer is identified and approached for targeted negotiations.
In his new position at UBS, Mr. Quezada is expected to collaborate closely with various teams, including the coverage team, M&A, industry coverage teams, and financial advisors. The UGB team he is slated to lead focuses on servicing the corporate finance needs of companies that maintain a global wealth management link. The report also noted that UBS has recently added three other bankers to its New York team for the UGB Americas group: Mario Saravia, formerly part of the Financial Institutions Group within Global Banking; Matthew Talley, previously part of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group within Global Banking; and Pedro Gonzalez, who was formerly an Investment Banking Associate Director at MACA Advisors LLC.
