Source: IBS Intelligence
Global payments provider Klarna has announced a partnership with fashion footwear and accessories provider The Dune Group in a bid to enable the latter’s customers to leverage Pay Later products including the Pay in 30 and Instalments. Customers in five European markets of Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom will be able to benefit from Klarna’s products.
Luke Griffiths, Vice President at Klarna, commented, “We are delighted to partner with The Dune Group to create the best shopping experience for their customers across Europe. With over 85 million customers globally, we know that the addition of Dune London to the Klarna shop directory will be welcomed by millions of shoppers in Europe.”
According to Klarna, the new partnership will offer more flexibility to customers while shopping online. Recently, Klarna released data tracking the changes in the purchasing habits of UK consumers during the COVID-19 crisis. The company, in the study, analysed the transactions made by its customer base in the categories of Gen Z (age 18-23), Millennial (ages 24-39), Gen X (age 40-45) and Baby Boomers (55+).
Elaine Smith, Head of Digital Product at Dune London, commented, “At Dune London it is our aim to provide the best possible shopping experience across all of our customer-facing channels, and we feel that the addition of Klarna’s payment options will support this objective not just in the UK, but in our markets across Europe. We want our customers to be able to shop and pay, however, wherever and whenever they want.”
IBS Intelligence reported that Klarna announced its plan of supporting the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as its response to the pandemic. It stated that it will donate a pound, a euro or a dollar for every Klarna transaction placed at ASOS globally on the 29th of April.
