Kraken Acquires Capitalise.ai to Bring No-Code Trading to Kraken Pro

Crypto exchange operator Kraken has announced the acquisition of Capitalise.ai, an Israel-based provider of natural-language trading automation. The transaction, which involved the purchase of Capitalise.ai's assets and technology, was completed with financial advisory support from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, a Stifel Company. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
Capitalise.ai, founded in 2015, developed a platform that enables traders to create, test, and execute strategies simply by typing instructions in everyday language. Its system is powered by a proprietary language model and a data infrastructure capable of processing both real-time and historical data across a wide range of asset classes, including equities, forex, futures, options, and cryptocurrencies.
Kraken said the integration of Capitalise.ai will unfold in phases later this year, starting with Kraken Pro. The exchange framed the acquisition as part of its broader mission to lower technical barriers for traders who want to take advantage of advanced tools but lack coding skills.
"Capitalise.ai's technology transforms how people interact with financial data, breaking down barriers that have long kept scalable, advanced strategies in the hands of a few," said Shannon Kurtas, Kraken's Head of Exchange. "This is a major leap forward in democratizing access to pro-grade trading tools."
Capitalise.ai's technology has already been adopted by several brokers and exchanges in traditional finance, including Forex.com, Interactive Brokers, and Fidelity, as well as crypto platforms like Binance.
As part of the deal, Capitalise.ai co-founders Amir Shiovich and Shahar Rabin, along with core members of the product and engineering teams, will join Kraken. The company noted that the technology has proven highly engaging in both retail and institutional markets, and expects its integration to bring similar results at Kraken's scale.
