Kraken Reduces Deposit Fees to Zero on Over 70 Digital Assets

Kraken, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange, announced on Tuesday that deposit fees for more than 70 supported digital assets have been reduced to zero, effective immediately.

According to the crypto exchange, this will make it even easier for seven million clients – and counting – to purchase crypto on Kraken’s premium exchange platform, as well as help Kraken fulfill one of its core objectives: to make the life-changing potential of digital assets available to all, irrespective of background. 

Jeremy Welch, Chief Product Officer at Kraken, commented, “Kraken remains laser-focused on ensuring clients receive the best exchange offering. By cutting out deposit fees, clients can experience the lowest possible friction on their crypto journey.”

Earlier this month, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange rolled out its new mobile app with streamlined buying and selling process, more convenient payment methods, and user friendly design. The app is available in the US and the rest of the world for both iOS and Android users. Soon thereafter, Kraken announced its plan to change its margin trading platform​, taking effect from June 23 2021. Those who do not meet certain requirements in the US are no longer be offered with margin trading service.
