FX Back Office Co-Founder Dmitriy Petrenko Shows How They Craft Innovative CRM Solutions for Prop Firms

While digitalization undoubtedly serves as a major driving force for future development, the financial services sector, particularly the forex community, is also propelled by the demand for lead generation and customer retention.

For forex brokers, CRM is an indispensable tool to enhance customer management and deliver exceptional user experience. On the path to excellence, finding the right CRM solution becomes paramount for brokers.

With the rise of prop trading firms and an increasing number of forex brokers seeking to expand their prop businesses (and prop firms venturing into brokerage after regulatory pressures and MetaQuotes' crackdown on grey labeling), choosing the right CRM solution is equally vital in building a platform.

Previously, we delved into the differences between solutions for brokers and prop firms with Mr. Muthukumaran Ramachandran, CPO at turnkey brokerage solution provider FYNXT. Today, we have sit down together with Mr. Dmitriy Petrenko, Co-Founder of FX Back Office, a CRM provider that offer forex brokers with cutting-edge solutions, to discuss how to create innovative CRM systems tailored for prop trading firms.

Hi Dmitriy, great to have you here at Fazzaco for our interview. We know that your company has been a leading CRM provider, and starting from that, could you share a bit with us on what recent changes you have noticed in terms of client demand?

In FXBO, we've observed several key shifts in client demands driven by evolving business needs, technological advancements, and changing customer behavior.

Notably, there's been an increased demand for AI and automation, which helps with routine tasks and provides predictive analytics. Clients are also seeking omnichannel customer engagement, allowing them to interact seamlessly with customers across multiple platforms.

Another significant trend is the heightened requirement for data security and privacy, especially with stricter regulations and the rise in data breaches. Customization and flexibility have become crucial, as businesses want CRM systems that can adapt to their specific processes and workflows. Integration capabilities with other business tools are also in high demand, ensuring a unified system where data flows smoothly across different applications.

Mobile accessibility is essential too, given the rise in brokers providing their customers with instant access to their accounts anywhere they are. There's also a strong focus on enhancing customer experience, with CRMs that track and improve customer journeys, gather actionable insights, and personalize interactions. Cloud-based solutions are preferred for their scalability, ease of updates, and cost-effectiveness.

Advanced analytics and reporting features are critical, even more so than before, as clients have developed a deeper need for specific insights into effectiveness for data-driven decision-making.

Finally, user-friendly interfaces are a must, ensuring high adoption rates among employees with minimal training. If a CRM provider isn't keeping up with the current trends in UI design and doesn't have the team to support vital changes that need to be made quickly, they will fall behind. These trends highlight a move towards more intelligent, integrated, and user-centric CRM solutions, emphasizing the importance of continuous innovation and understanding client needs from the CRM Providers side.

Thank you for that incredibly detailed insight. Now why don't we circle back to the distinction between prop trading firms and brokers. From a CRM development perspective, what sets them apart?

In general, on the CRM side, the requirements remain similar for brokers, as they need to manage client information and handle PSPs (Payment Service Providers), among other tasks. The main difference lies in the client area. Unlike traditional broker sites, clients in prop trading firms need to engage with and purchase challenges, and then win these challenges to qualify for a funded trading account. The flow is thus different, focusing on guiding clients through these challenges before establishing them with a funded trading account.

So, the key difference lies in how the clients are guided. Does FXBO have any plans to develop features specifically suited for prop firms?

We've noticed a significant increase in demand for prop trading, which has led us to focus heavily on developing our prop trading Client Area. This is a complex project, and we want to ensure it's robust, comprehensive and fully tested before release. We are excited to be launching this product soon.

In the meantime, to make sure our clients can still access our high-quality products and services, we have integrated some excellent third-party solutions. This way, our clients can establish a prop trading firm straight away with no downtime, switching to our solution later if they so choose.

Our team is committed to creating a prop trading Client Area that not only meets but exceeds our clients' expectations. The software will offer a seamless experience with enhanced features specifically designed for prop traders. We understand the importance of having the right tools for success, and we're dedicated to delivering a top-notch solution.

While we complete this development, our integration with trusted third-party solutions ensures that our clients can keep innovating without disruption.

We appreciate their patience and understanding as we work towards providing outstanding prop trading software that will ultimately offer even greater value and functionality.
