LiquidityBook Hires Jason Morris as New President

LiquidityBook, a leading provider of cloud-native buy- and sell-side trading solutions, announced on Monday (January 29, 2024) that it has named Jason Morris as its new President to continue the company's growth strategy. The new appointment aligns with LiquidityBook's growth strategy, which includes strategic hires, mergers and acquisitions, and improving products and services to better cater to an expanding customer base.
Morris joined LiquidityBook from Ottimate (formerly Plate IQ), a leading AP automation AI, where he worked as Head of Ops & Payments for a year and a half and helped the growth in the payments revenue. Previously, he had spent almost eight years with Enfusion, having held various roles including VP of Implementation and Business Development, Global Head of Product Consulting & Electronic Trading, President, and Head Of Corporate Development. During his tenure at the investment management platform, Morris played a pivotal role in driving growth and solidifying the firm's position.
With Morris at the helm, LiquidityBook aims to broaden its presence in untapped markets and strengthen partnerships with important collaborators. Simultaneously, the company will strive to improve its product offerings across various aspects of its portfolio, order and execution management system (POEMS), and embedded FIX network. Given Morris' prior executive experience, he is well-equipped to represent LiquidityBook and guide its trajectory as it adapts and grows in the year 2024, the company stated in the announcement.
Kevin Samuel, CEO at LiquidityBook, commented: "We are thrilled to welcome Jason to our team. His proven success in building high-performance teams and driving strategic initiatives speaks for itself. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue on our path toward expansion."
Jason Morris, new President at LiquidityBook, said: "LiquidityBook has already established itself as a trusted partner within the financial industry by consistently delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower clients. I've admired LiquidityBook from afar for many years and I am excited to step into this role during a period of record growth. Our technology has always differentiated the firm from its peers, but now being able to offer a complete front-to-back-office solution for asset managers is something I'm particularly excited about. I look forward to connecting with the team, our clients and our partners as we continue to level up."
Earlier this month, LiquidityBook reported its record-breaking successes in 2023, having achieved its 18th consecutive year of double-digit growth. Furthermore, it has entered into a new strategic partnership with OptimX Markets, an innovative liquidity management platform built to optimize interactions between institutions and their broker counterparties.
With this integration, LiquidityBook clients, which include hedge funds, global asset managers, outsourced trading desks and other market participants across the buy-side and sell-side will benefit from the depth and breadth of the liquidity opportunities delivered through OptimX.
