LME Fines MAREX Financial £15,000 for Regulatory Position Limit Breaches

The London Metal Exchange (LME) has fined MAREX Financial (MFL) £15,000 for failing to comply with a Regulatory Position Limit on two occasions in July 2026, the exchange said.
The LME found MFL in breach of Notice 26/184, "Fixed Penalties for Fixed Penalty Offences," and imposed the fixed penalty charge, which MFL has paid.
The exchange reminded members of the importance of complying with Regulatory Position Limits under the Policy Relating to Regulatory Position Limits and Exemptions and the LME Rulebook.
