London Stock Exchange Group Starts £650M Share Buyback

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) has begun a share buyback of ordinary shares with an aggregate value of up to £650 million, the company announced on Monday.
The buyback will complete the planned £3 billion program first announced with LSEG's 2025 Preliminary Results in February 2026.
LSEG has instructed Citigroup Global Markets Limited to purchase shares worth up to £650 million under an agreement in which Citi acts as riskless principal within set parameters. Citi will make trading decisions independently of and uninfluenced by LSEG.
Purchases will start immediately and end no later than 24 February 2027. They will be carried out on the London Stock Exchange and/or Turquoise. Shares bought by Citi will be on-sold to LSEG and cancelled upon settlement. The arrangements are subject to customary termination rights in favor of both LSEG and Citi.
The buyback is intended to reduce LSEG's share capital. The maximum number of shares LSEG is authorized to purchase under the 2026 Authority is 34,514,094.
