Malaysian Regulator Warns Against Cyber Futures and Torque Market Limited
Malaysia’s SC (Securities Commission) today issued several warnings against two companies that are carrying out capital market activities of dealing in derivatives without any licenses.
The names of the latest additions to the regulator’s warning list are the companies Cyber Futures / Cyber Futures International Limited and Torque Market Limited / Torque Trader.
Cyber Futures / Cyber Futures International Limited
According to the regulator, the brand is operating under the domain of https://www.cyber-futures.com/ . Taking a look at the company’s website, Cyber Futures claims to be a globally licensed and regulated Forex and CFD online broker providing world-class trading services, education and market insights to both novice and seasoned traders.
Torque Market Limited / Torque Trader
Website: https://torquemarkets.com(currently not available); https://www.torquetrader.net/
The watchdog found the company:
• Operating a recognized market without authorisation from the SC
• Carrying out of the unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in derivatives and securities
• Misrepresentation, misusing SC’s name and logo
The marker regulator advises caution when dealing with companies that have not been authorized by the SC.
