Mangopay Names Ex - PayPal Director as First Chief Revenue Officer

European payments provider Mangopay has brought on former PayPal director Luke Trayfoot to its executive team.

In the newly created role of chief revenue officer, Trayfoot has been brought on to help the company accelerate its international expansion and improve revenue streams for the next phase of growth.

The appointment comes a month after the company, which provides payment solutions for marketplaces and platforms including a number of fintechs and P2P lenders, was acquired by private equity software and fintech investor, Advent International. 

Bringing over a decade of experience in the payments and marketplace industry, Trayfoot was EMEA sales director at Hyperwallet when it was acquired by PayPal, after which he led the EMEA marketplace strategy for the company.

"My mission will be multi-faceted with a specific focus on driving the exciting mission of scaling our geographical coverage, payment capabilities and platform offerings," Trayfoot posted on LinkedIn.

The company says Trayfoot will focus on developing new markets, enabling customers to expand their businesses globally and delivering growth and profit objectives.

"[Luke's] motivational leadership style and expertise in go-to-market strategy and execution will be a great addition as we continue our UK and global expansion plans," Mangopay CEO Romain Mazeries said.
