Marcus Kwong Joins UBS as Head of Sales Trading in Asia

Marcus Kwong joined UBS, a Swiss international investment bank, as the Head of Sales Trading in Asia. According to a LinkedIn update, the individual formerly worked at Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director and Head of APAC Equity Trading for almost two years.
Kwong worked at Deutsche Bank's Hong Kong branch as Director and Head of North Asia Sales Trading from 2009 to 2019, where he oversaw a team of international sales traders in Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
However, from 2004 and 2009, the executive worked for UBS as a Director and Associate Director in Shanghai and Hong Kong, where he assisted in the development of UBS' QFII A-share equities platform and helped construct a sales trading team.
Prior to joining UBS, Kwong worked at Goldman Sachs as a Securities Analyst from 2000 until 2004.
Kwong graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS and BA in Finance and East Asian Studies, as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder certification from the CFA Institute.
"I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Head of Sales Trading, Asia ex at UBS! I started my sales trading career many moons ago at UBS when the firm took a chance on a nerdy kid in equity research with no trading background. I'm excited to re-connect with friends and colleagues across multiple divisions to deliver the full UBS ecosystem to our institutional and private banking clients," he said.
