Marex Group Completes Acquisition of Webb Traders

Diversified global financial services platform Marex Group Limited (NASDAQ:MRX) today announced it has completed the acquisition of European equity derivatives market maker Webb Traders.

Webb Traders, which has offices in Amsterdam and Paris, specializes in single stock options market making for European and US mid and large cap equities.

The acquisition strengthens Marex's market making capabilities by adding a technology-led team of market makers, quants and developers, while expanding its electronic trading capacity in line with the group's strategy to diversify earnings.

Marex said the acquisition will also enhance its Equity Linked Structured Products platform, allowing the group to internalise hedging, improve profit margins and provide better pricing for clients.
