Markel names Mark Besca as member of board of directors

Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL), a market leader for specialty insurance, reinsurance, and investment operations around the world, announced its appointment of Mark Besca to its board of directors.

Besca will be a member of the board's Audit Committee.

As seen on his Linkedlin profile, Mark served as Lead of EY's Long Term Value from 2017 until his retirement. From 2012 to 2018, he worked as Managing Partner for New York City at EY. From 1999 to 2012, Mark served as the Northeast Regional Industry Leader for EY's Media & Entertainment group. He got his bachelor degree in Accounting from Pace University in 1981.
