Markets.com CEO Stavros Anastasiou Steps Down

Stavros Anastasiou has reportedly departed from his position as CEO of the retail FX and CFDs broker Markets.com. His departure follows a two-year tenure as CEO, a role he assumed after Markets.com and institutional B2B provider Finalto were acquired by Hong Kong-based Gopher Investments from Playtech.

Mr. Anastasiou initially joined Safecap Investments Ltd, the Cyprus-licensed entity operating Markets.com, in 2016 as Chief Compliance Officer. He was later appointed Group CCO of the parent company, Finalto (formerly TradeTech Group), in 2018. Prior to his time with Safecap/Markets.com, he served as Chief Compliance Officer at FxPro from 2011 to 2016. Markets.com operates under licenses issued in Cyprus (CySEC), South Africa (FSCA), and St Vincent & The Grenadines (FSA).
