Mary Huen Joins StanChart’s Group Management Team

Standard Chartered PLC today announced that it has added Mary Huen to its Group Management Team, effective immediately.

Mary Huen is currently Cluster Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and CEO of Standard Chartered Hong Kong. She will continue to report to Ben Hung, CEO Asia.

She brings a wealth of experience and rich market expertise, having run our largest market Hong Kong successfully. I look forward to her playing an active role in the Bank's leadership moving forward."

This change underscores the significance of the Asia region, and that of the Bank's Hong Kong franchise to the Group as the largest market, representing 30% of its profit. Hong Kong is a key part of the Bank's Greater China growth strategy, including the very exciting Greater Bay Area. Hong Kong has also been central to the Bank's progress on customer service through digitisation, most notably the establishment of Mox as the leading digital bank in Asia.
