Match Liquidity Appoints Ex-GCEX Exec Torben Gregers Friis as Managing Director

​Fazzaco learned that Match Liquidity, a multi-Asset LP and an innovative trading software solutions provider, has named former GCEX executive Torben Gregers Friis as its Managing Director & Global Head of Distribution.

In his new role, Torben's remit is to handle relationships with LPs, Counterparties and Vendors, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Torben, an veteran with over 20 years of management experience in the forex industry, joined Match Liquidity from digital brokerage GCEX where he served as Managing Director in the EMEA region for over 5 years.

Prior to that, Torben held senior management positions in many well-known companies, such as Board Director at Veninca Ltd (2013 - 2018) ,Non-Executive Director at CFI Markets (2012 -2014), Chief Operating Officer at ActivTrades Plc (2008 - 2010), Executive Director & Head of Derivatives at SVS Securities which built SVS Capital Markets for FX, CFDs and Cash equities trading in 2008, Institutional Sales Director at IG Markets (2005 -2008), Senior Associate at Saxo Bank (2001 - 2004), responsible for direct sales to high net worth individuals and SME institutional clients as well as Project management with IT department to create new functionality and systems (CRM System, Web features, etc).

Match Liquidity is a proprietary trading firm active in a range of asset classes. Having been in the business for a number of years the firm trades markets with skill and care based on a range of risk management components.
