Fazzaco learned that Matthew Wright, Capital Index CEO, has resigned from his position of CEO after spending more than 3 years with the financial brokerage.

Matthew is an experienced CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. As seen on his Linkedin profile, prior to joining Capital Index, Matthew previously served as CEO of Destek Markets UK Ltd, a global forex and CFD broker.

Before this role, Gain Capital utilsed his services as Chief Operating Officer EMEA from February 2008 to October 2016. Over the course of his career, Matthew also worked at Refco, where he spent for 3 years.

The move comes after Capital Index (UK) Limited submitted its annual financials for 2020, ending December 31. The broker generated total yearly revenue of £2.44 million, 10.9% lower than the previous year’s £2.73 million. The operating profit came in at £122,150, much higher than 2019’s £94,978.
