MetaQuotes Updates MetaTrader 5 Mobile App for iOS

MetaQuotes, the developer of the MetaTrader 5 trading platform, has announced the release of an updated version of its mobile application for iOS devices. The update focuses on improving the user experience through enhanced charting features and stability improvements.

Key additions to the application include a new text object feature, allowing users to create custom labels directly on charts. According to MetaQuotes, users can access this functionality by opening the chart objects menu and selecting "Add Text." The update also streamlines object editing with a small on-chart menu that appears immediately after an object is created, enabling quick adjustments to key properties.

Traders who rely on precise timing will benefit from the new countdown timer, which displays the time remaining until the current bar closes across various timeframes. "This feature will be especially useful for traders whose strategies depend on bar openings and closings," stated a company release. The timer can be activated through the chart settings and is displayed on the vertical scale.

Furthermore, the crosshair tool has been enhanced to function as a ruler, allowing users to measure distances on charts by placing the crosshair at two points. The update also improves the display of quote delays and adds new providers to the integrated payment system. Chat functionality has been upgraded with a document viewer and support for *.webp images, alongside improved search capabilities. Finally, position tickets are now visible in the trading history.
