MetroTrade LLC (MetroTrade) announced its registration as an introducing broker with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and its membership in the National Futures Association (NFA). The company is set to officially launch this summer, focusing on providing trading services to retail futures traders.

Founded in Chicago by David Klotz and Ingmar Mattus, MetroTrade brings a wealth of experience to the table. Klotz boasts over two decades in the financial services industry, having held key positions at reputable traditional financial and crypto trading companies. His roles include Director of Futures Division at Mizuho Securities, Head of E-trading and Head of Business Development at Phillip Capital Inc., as well as Head of FCM & CRO at Crypto.com.

Mattus, on the other hand, is an accomplished entrepreneur and founder. Prior to MetroTrade, he successfully co-founded the globally renowned trading brand Tickmill in 2014 and established the Swiss private equity firm Andromeda Capital Partners Suisse in 2023. Mattus has also held senior positions at the Estonian Banking Association and the world-leading broker Admiral. Notably, his Andromeda Capital Partners Suisse has provided crucial support for the launch of MetroTrade.

In a LinkedIn post released late yesterday, David Klotz, MetroTrade President, stated: "I've proudly built my career in the futures industry, and am a long-time futures player. Like many others in the industry, I've been alarmed by the dramatic brokerage consolidation, with only a handful of futures-centric brokerages left in business.

"Therefore, I'm very excited to share that MetroTrade is now registered with the CFTC and is a member of the NFA. We are gearing up for a summer launch and are determined to offer an outstanding customer experience. But in addition to delivering on that promise, we intend to give the futures trader their voice back. We are going to put the customer front and center, simplify pricing, and in doing so do everything we can to help them trade profitably from day one."

Klotz further highlighted the deep liquidity and significance of the U.S. futures markets, emphasizing the importance of providing retail traders with a wide range of choices in their brokerage needs. He said that "we are excited to meet and exceed those expectations."
