Mizuho Bank Europe Formed Through Merger of Banking and Securities Units

Mizuho Financial Group has consolidated its European operations by merging its Netherlands and German subsidiaries to create Mizuho Bank Europe. The newly formed entity integrates the banking services of Amsterdam-based Mizuho Bank Europe N.V., a subsidiary of Mizuho Bank, and Frankfurt-based Mizuho Securities Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd.
The integrated entity commenced operations on April 7, 2025, operating under a universal bank structure that allows it to offer both banking and securities services.
According to the Japanese megabank, this reorganization has streamlined its presence in the European Union to four key offices located in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris. All transactions previously handled by the Brussels, Dusseldorf, Milan, Paris, and Vienna offices have been transferred to these four core locations of Mizuho Bank Europe. This move signifies a consolidation of Mizuho's European footprint to enhance operational efficiency.
