Mizuho Financial Group Taps Deloitte Partner Hidekazu Kojima as Group Executive Officer and Deputy Head of Compliance

Fazzaco learned that Mizuho Bank named Hidekazu Kojima as Managing Executive Officer and Deputy Compliance Officer, with effect on 1 June. Also, Kojima has been tapped as Group Executive Officer and Deputy Head of Compliance for Mizuho Financial Group.

Currently, Kojima is a Partner of Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory, on which he has been for 4 years. Between December 2015 and May 2018, he was Head of Financial Crime Risk Management at the company, leading crisis management, compliance and governance in financial industry sector.

In addition, Kojima has spent more than 4 years at MUFG, finally ending his tenure as Global Head and General Manager of Anti-Money Laundering.

In March, Fazzaco reported that Mizuho Financial Group (MFG) has partnered with Google Cloud​ to turbocharge its digital transformation. The strategic collaboration will see the firm modernise its systems, build a new digital marketing platform on Google Cloud, and roll out new digital financial service offerings such as Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
