Monex Europe Adds Chris Weeks and Michael Huggett to Options Team

Monex Europe​, a specialist in commercial foreign exchange, has strengthened its options team with the addition of Chris Weeks and Michael Huggett. Chris Weeks has been named as Head of Options Sales, and Michael Huggett as Senior Options Trader.

Responsible for enhancing and extending Monex Europe's full suite of hedging solutions, including FX and interest rate derivatives, both will report to Tom Farrow, Group Director of Trading.

Chris brings a decade of experience in the FX sector to Monex Europe. Most recently, he worked at Convera, one of the largest non-bank, B2B cross-border payments companies in the world, as Head of Hedging - UK.

Chris spent around a decade in Western Union. Between September 2017 and January 2023, he was at Western Union International Bank GMBH, with roles including Head of Hedging - UK, Senior Corporate Hedging Manager. From March 2013 to September 2017, he served Western Union Business Solutions (now Convera), as Business Development Manager (FX Solutions) initially, then as Senior Business Development Manager - Corporate Risk Management.

Michael Huggett boasts three-decade experience in financial markets. He joins from HSBC Global Markets, where he was Director of UK Corporate Sales, with remits of the firm’s FX Derivative solutions. Previously, he was Head of FX Structuring at Lloyds Bank.
