Monex Repurchases 4,026,500 Shares in December 2022

Monex Group, Inc. (Monex), a Japanese online trading services provider, has announced its updated process of the repurchase of its shares conducted in December 2022.

From December 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, Monex bought 4,026,500 shares from the market on the Tokyo Stock Exchange based on a discretionary trading agreement with the aggregate amount of 1,694,234,318 yen.

The overall repurchase period is from November 14 to February 28, 2023, with up to 12,500,000 shares to be repurchased and the total cost for it will be up to 5,000,000,000 yen.

As of December 31, 2022, the company has bought 6,292,600 shares of its common stock, spending 2,704,319,705 yen in total.

Monex plays an important role in the Japanese stock market and has been added to the lists of constituents of several indexes in the past year, including JPX-Nikkei Index 400​, FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index​, MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index, etc.
