Monex to Accept Applications to Open Margin Accounts for US Equity Trading from June 26

Monex Group's subsidiary Monex Inc. (Monex), a Japanese online trading company, announced that it will begin accepting applications to open margin accounts for US equity trading at 1:00 pm JST on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Along with TradeStation Group, Inc, the US subsidiary of Monex Group, Monex has long offered US equity trading services. Last May, the platform announced the launch of two types of subscription services, a dividend reinvestment service and a date designated service. Four months later, it began to provide over-the-counter US equity trading services online. Monex's customers can trade US shares during the day (12:00~17:00 JST) without waiting for the opening time in the U.S. Trading time.

​Margin trading of US equity will be allowed in Japan from July 2022 in accordance with the revised Regulations Concerning Foreign Securities Transactions by the Japan Securities Dealers Association. Monex previously planned to launch US stock margin trading service in July. Due to continuous adjustment, it is now expected to launch the service by the end of 2022.
