MoneyHero Enters Digital Asset Sector Through OSL Group Collaboration

MoneyHero, a personal finance aggregation and comparison platform serving Greater South-east Asia, announced a strategic collaboration with digital asset platform OSL Group on Monday, June 9, 2025. This partnership marks MoneyHero's entry into the digital asset space, allowing its users to compare a range of financial products, including digital asset accounts licensed by Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), alongside traditional insurance, stock, and banking products.
The move is intended to empower consumers with more informed financial choices, responding to rising interest in digital assets across the region. Data from the Investor and Financial Education Council, a subsidiary of the SFC, indicates a significant increase in virtual asset adoption in Hong Kong, with nearly 8% of retail investors holding virtual assets or related products in 2023, up from 1% in 2019. Furthermore, 11% of investors have expressed an intent to invest, highlighting a growing demand for regulated and diversified financial solutions.
Rohith Murthy, CEO of MoneyHero, stated that the collaboration reflects the company's "unique value proposition and position as the leading digital acquisition partner for the majority of banks across Greater South-east Asia." The partnership aims to broaden the scope of financial comparisons available to users, integrating digital assets into their service offerings.
