MoonPay Acquires Key Talent to Build Global Payments Network

MoonPay is making major strides in its mission to create a global payments network by hiring two top-tier tech leaders. Ali Aghareza has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO), while Ben Mills joins as Senior Vice President of Product. Both Aghareza and Mills have deep experience from their time at Braintree, Venmo, and PayPal, and will play a key role in MoonPay's next phase of growth.

Aghareza and Mills are expected to help integrate banks, card networks, stablecoins, and blockchain technologies into a seamless system that can move money across the globe.

This announcement comes just months after MoonPay acquired Helio, a crypto payments processor, and Iron, a stablecoin infrastructure platform. The goal is to consolidate these components into a single global network capable of processing transactions across a range of financial systems, both traditional and digital. Aghareza and Mills' combined expertise in engineering and product management is seen as key to driving this vision forward.
