Morgan Stanley has posted a strong performance for the second quarter of 2025, reporting net revenues of $16.8 billion, a notable increase from $15.0 billion during the same period last year. Net income applicable to common shareholders reached $3.5 billion, translating to $2.13 per diluted share, compared to $3.1 billion or $1.82 per share in Q2 2024.

Growth was recorded across all core segments. The Institutional Securities division saw revenues climb to $7.6 billion from $7.0 billion, with pre-tax income ticking up to $2.1 billion. Wealth Management generated $7.8 billion in net revenues, supported by strong asset management performance and increased client activity. The unit added $59 billion in net new assets during the quarter, including $43 billion in fee-based flows.

Investment Management contributed $1.6 billion in revenue, largely driven by fees on higher average assets under management.

Chairman and CEO Ted Pick described the firm's results as indicative of durable performance. "Six sequential quarters of consistent earnings... reflect higher levels of performance in different market environments," he said. The firm also announced an increase in its quarterly dividend to $1.00 per share.
