Moscow Exchange Adds 20 More International Stocks to Trade

Moscow Exchange (MOEX) announced that from 1 June 2021, it will provide opportunities to trade 20 more international stocks.

Below are the companies' shares newly added to MOEX:

Bank of America Corporation, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., BlackRock Inc, Morgan Stanley, ViacomCBS Inc., Western Digital Corporation, The Mosaic Company, Incyte Corporation, Splunk Inc., Southern Copper Corporation, CF Industries Holdings, Inc., Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc., Palantir Technologies Inc., MicroStrategy Incorporated, Zynerba Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Square, Inc., Momo Inc., G1 Therapeutics, Inc., eHealth, Inc., Zoom Video Communications,Inc.

According to the official press release, the number of shares and depositary receipts of international issuers available for trading on Moscow Exchange will reach 144. MOEX plans to make more international securities available for trading in future based on demand from banks, brokers, asset managers and their clients.

The exchange has been offering international equities since 24 August 2020, which can be traded in the main and after-hours trading sessions. Trades are settled in RUB using MOEX’s robust infrastructure, which includes a qualified central counterparty and record-keeping with the central securities depository (NSD). In terms of dividends, it will be set in the currency of the issuer, i.e., in USD for US securities.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, the Moscow Exchange Derivative Market started trading in cash-settled futures contracts on an index tracking the US equity market, effective 25 May 2021. The contract code is SPYF. Last month, the Exchange also acquired a 70% stake in INGURU​, a banking and insurance electronic marketplace platform. The new partnership is expected to expand opportunities for customers and enable them to select the most favourable insurance and banking services.
