MultiBank Group, Unlimit, FxPro and Other Four Companies Are Hiring Now

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, on Tuesday announced that it will lay off around 600 people, or 3% of its global workforce, kicking off the layoffs in 2024.

Amazon continues to experience layoffs for yet another year. The tech giant is set to lay off over 500 more people from Twitch, its video live-streaming platform. Sources familiar with the plan unveiled that Twitch faces significant expenses despite leveraging Amazon's infrastructure.

In a similar vein, Google is also laying off hundreds of its staff, as it revealed in 2023. Most of the staff being sacked worked on Google's digital assistant, hardware, and engineering teams.

Compared with industry giants like BlackRock and Google, small-scale and start-up businesses, due to their lower risk tolerance, are more prone to implementing cost reduction measures such as layoffs. On Wednesday, Treasure Financial, an investment manager, said it had laid off 14 employees recently, affecting 60% to 70% of the company's jobs.

However, there is no need to adopt such a pessimistic outlook regarding the future job market in the financial industry.
