Nasdaq Unveils AI-Driven Portfolio Risk Calculator

Nasdaq has introduced a groundbreaking machine learning-based methodology for portfolio risk calculations, significantly enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of risk management across capital markets. The new technology, integrated into Nasdaq's Calypso platform, uses advanced mathematical models, including Chebyshev Tensors, to streamline complex trading and regulatory calculations.
This innovation, called the XVA Accelerator, can process risk scenarios up to 100 times faster than traditional methods while maintaining high accuracy, even during volatile market conditions. The machine learning model adapts dynamically to market changes, reducing the need for extensive physical infrastructure and lowering the overall costs of compliance for financial institutions.
"Financial institutions face increasingly complex risk calculations, and maintaining the necessary infrastructure is costly and inefficient," noted Gil Guillaumey, Senior Vice President at Nasdaq. The XVA Accelerator's breakthrough methodology promises to deliver timely risk analytics with a reduced carbon footprint, empowering firms to manage risk more effectively.
