Natixis Appoints François Codet as Member of Senior Management Committee

Natixis, a French multinational financial services firm, subsidiary of Groupe BPCE, the second-largest banking group in France, announced that it has appointed François Codet as the company's senior management committee in charge of insurance, succeeding Jean-François Lequoy.

Jean-François Lequoy has been named Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Groupe BPCE, in charge of Finance and Strategy in September 2020.

According to the official press release, François Codet will be in charge of all personal insurance and non-life insurance businesses at Natixis from February 2021.

Commenting on the recent announcement, Nicolas Namias, CEO of Natixis, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome François Codet to the Natixis senior management committee. His extensive insight into the financial and commercial challenges facing Groupe BPCE's business lines, as well as his discipline and vast experience in the group will be crucial advantages in rolling out the next stage in Natixis Assurances' development along with all our teams and preparing for Natixis' forthcoming strategic plan, all in the interests of Groupe BPCE's retail network customers. Prior to the appointment, François Codet served as Chairman of the management board at Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur, Groupe BPCE's retail banking network, for over two years.
