The National Basketball Association's (NBA) Chicago Bulls have revealed a multi-year, global partnership with online trading platform Plus500.

The new agreement, which is Plus500's first with an American sports team, will see the company's logo feature on the front of the Bulls' warmup shooting shirts and jackets.

London-headquartered Plus500 has also been named as the franchise's global online trading partner as part of a tie-up set to include community initiatives, social media content and events.

Plus500 was previously the main shirt sponsor of Spanish soccer giants Atletico Madrid from 2015 to 2022, paying approximately €17 million (US$16.7 million) a year before the LaLiga club replaced it with cryptocurrency exchange platform WhaleFin.

Plus500's current roster of commercial partners includes Italian soccer outfit Atalanta and Swiss club BSC Young Boys.

"We are very excited to become an official global partner of the Chicago Bulls, one of the best-known and successful teams in basketball history," said David Zruia, chief executive of Plus500.

"With the recent launch of our new futures trading app for the retail market in the US, TradeSniper, this partnership will help Plus500 drive brand awareness in the US market, as we continue to diversify our global product offering and grow our presence in this significant and exciting market."

Michael Reinsdorf, president of the Chicago Bulls, added: "We look forward to beginning our partnership with Plus500 this season. Like the Bulls, Plus500 takes an innovative approach to connecting with communities around the world, making this partnership a natural fit."
